It has penetrating qualities. That helps prevent drying and cracking. This oil is perfect for the initial “oiling” or “seasoning” of cutting boards and butcher blocks. This is a 12 oz. bottle.
Howard BBB012 Cutting Board Oil mineral oil exceeds U.S. FDA requirements for food contact surfaces. It is also safe for all food preparation surfaces. The mineral oil used in Cutting Board Oil is from virgin mineral oils. It has no contact with nuts, gluten or other potentially allergenic materials either in production, storage, or transport.
It meets or exceeds all requirements for USP Light Mineral Oil. It also meets the National Formulary (NF), FDA 21 CFR 172.878 and 21 CFR 178.3620 (a) for direct and indirect contact with food.
