Kentucky Spring Ripple Wire # KYS-WIRE-ST #KYS-WIRE-RIP replacement wire for Ripple Cheese Slicer from Kentucky Spring. This is the wire used to the Kentucky Cheese Breeze Cutter made by Kentucky Spring.

The Cheese Slicers have solid brass fittings. Kentucky Spring in Kentucky hand crafts these items. They are available in 4 different woods.

Kentucky Spring uses Mineral Oil to treat the wood. Using the exterior brass screw adjusts the tension of the wire. A seven step sanding process not only makes this cheese slicer handle exceptionally smooth, but also keeps the wood smooth after hand washing. Hand wash only and apply mineral oil occasionally. (Not recommended for dishwashers.)

The stainless spiral wire measures 4″ between the solid brass posts. The handle of the Cheese Breeze measures 5″ x 2-3/8″ x 1/2″.  Kentucky Spring Straight Spiral replacement wires are available with instructions for replacement. A straight .020 guitar string will also work.

All Kentucky Spring items are also available in unstained walnut, oak, sugar maple or wild cherry.

These Slicers are a great purchase for your home kitchen or as a gift. By the same token. the cutting wire is especially effective with soft cheeses. It works as well on softer but somewhat hard cheeses. Not to mention, slicing butter and chocolate are other options, too.

Moreover, if you slice with a back and forth sideways motion, you can get a slice that looks very attractive! For a thick or thin slice of cheese, simply change the angle of the cheese slicer.
