The Spyderco C10PSBK Endura Pocket Knife is a lightweight folding pocket knife. It has a partially serrated blade. The blade is a VG-10 steel and a saber grind. Spyderco knives manufactures these knives in Seki City, Japan.
In the 1980’s, the original Spyderco Endura blazed a trail as one of the first lightweight clip-carry folding knives. Today it remains one of Spyderco’s most popular models. Besides it continues to set the standard for all other knives like it. The sabre grind is either a flat or hollow grind where the primary bevel (the grind) does not cover the entire width of the blade. Moreover, it leaves a portion of the blade flat. Furthermore, using the sabre grind makes the knife stronger. By the same token, keeping the stock a little thicker will make knife that will withstand hard use.
The sabre grind makes a good utility or camp knives. Many Bowie knives have a sabre grind.
The Spyderco C10PSBK Endura Pocket Knife measures 4-15/16″ closed. A small arc in the top of the lock allows for a tight grip. Therefore, it is very difficult to accidentally release the lock.
Spyderco uses black fiberglass reinforced nylon resin for the handle. Also, it has a volcano grip texture. The clip well is deeper to eliminate rotation of the black ambidextrous clip, which carries tip up. Weight 2.9 oz.
Spyderco is noted for their innovative one-handed opening capabilities and unique SpyderEdge serration pattern of one large and two small serrations. Further, that increases the length of the cutting edge by 10%. Additionally, the trademark large hole in the blade is used for one-handed opening and closing.
