The Loveless Rivet CPLS4 Bolt with Brass Nuts is an easy-to-use bolt-type rivet. It gives a unique “bird’s eye” effect when installed. This is a 3-piece rivet is also known as a Loveless bolt. It consists of 1-1/4″ x 8-32 stainless steel bolt and two brass nuts 5/16″ diameter by 9/32″ long. The effect is a brass circle with a stainless “eye.”
Rivets are used to secure the handle in place. A molded hand does not require rivets. A molded handle does not require rivets
Knife making rivets are an alternative to pins. Pins require a precise technique in order to “rivet” the head. The advantage of using rivets such as this loveless bolt-type rivet is that counter-sinking the handle for the head gives a more secure mechanical fit to the tang of the knife blade.
