Moss Hill was started in Louisville, Kentucky by Jeanine Moneypenny. She wanted to make homemade gifts for her family and friends. After 10 years she decided to invite a friend she had known since 1976 top become a partner. Teri Amsler said yes to becoming a part of Moss Hill. They began selling their products at the local Butchertown Market and St. James Art Fair including the Kentucky scent now named the Bathe-in-Bourbon Scent 4 Oz. Shaving Soap for Men by Moss Hill

The business grew and more family became involved. In 2021, Jeanine decided to step down and Teri’s daughter Devon and daughter-in-law Lyn became involved.
