This Colonel Conk 504B Straight Razor has silver etching on it’s carbon steel blade. It is a forged blade. The handle is black plastic. The blade measures 5/8″ wide. Etched on the blade is Col. Icabod Conk. Also on the shank is Dovo, Solingen.

The half-hollow ground blade means it is thinner but retains some of the weight. This allows for more control and maneuverability.

This straight razor comes in a black plastic box. Colonel Conk Products imports this from Dovo in Solingen, Gemany.

The carbon steel blade has these advantages: the edge is easier to sharpen and the blade generally holds a sharper edge longer. However, if not dried properly, or if it is exposed to humidity or dampness, a carbon blade will rust.
