Grinding the lower blade at a 40 to 45 degree bevel creates the knife edge bringing enhanced cutting sharpness. Gingher forges these trimmers. Forging makes the metal harder so the scissor stays sharp longer. They are made from carbon steel with chrome-plated blades and handle.

These are bent (offset) shears, which are designed for cutting on a flat surface such as a table. One sharp point and one more rounded point make these scissors appropriate for general dressmaking.

It is possible to have initials etched onto the blades or the shank. It depends on the size of the scissors. The engraver will make that decision. We have only one type face and size available.
