Wiss 175E Electricians Scissors 5 IN

Description

The Wiss 175E Electricians Scissors are for wire splicing, cutting insulation, stripping insulation, and cutting harness ties. They measure 5″ in total length. Additionally, the blades cut 1-3/4″.  Wiss has these made in Italy.

They have a double wire stripping notch for 19-gauge (.035) and 23-gauge (.022) wire.  Furthermore, there is also a scraper and file on the back edge of blade.  These scissors are hot drop-forged of solid steel and fully nickel plated for corrosion resistance. And finally, the entire bottom blade is serrated. These shears are forged.

Forging makes them strong but also durable. Additionally, forging makes the metal harder so the scissors will stay sharp longer. Finally forged scissors are less bulky. These are decorative yet functional.  Therefore, they will provide you with many years of beautiful service.

Heimerdinger can etch onto the scissor’s blades or the shank. The font size depends on the size of the scissors. The engraver will make that decision. We have only one type face available. Quality scissors like these will have a screw. They will be adjustable. Equally important, one step in the sharpening process is to take them apart. This basically allows for the re-manufacturing of the scissors. In manufacturing a pair of scissors there are 176 steps. It takes almost as many steps to perform a quality sharpening job.
