There are many names for this rivet. Cutler’s rivet or a Cutlery rivet comes to mind first. It is also sometimes called a compression rivet or a squeeze type rivet. Moreover, it is a relatively easy to install compression-type rivet which consists of one male and one female half.
To install: Push them together at least 1/8″ for a permanent bond. Please take into consideration that the female half expands to 11/64″ when the rivet is compressed. Use only a vise or arbor press. DO NOT USE A HAMMER!
